Following are the two places to sing-sign “Hallelujah”
1:38 – 1:56
2:27 – 2:55
Practice Tips
- Learn how to sign Hallelujah (instructional video below).
- Practice along with the song.
- Sing while you sign.
- Relax and feel the song in your signing.
- Smile.
Recording Requirements
- Hallelujah is signed up high over your head, so make sure the camera is positioned to capture the entire sign. Note that it is better to have too much space around your body, than not enough. Your video will be cropped in editing.
- Start recording at 1:25 or so, to give enough time to push “record” and get positioned properly.
- SMILE!
- SING out loud as you sign.
- Look at the camera.
- After the first chorus, just let the camera continue recording and get ready for the second set of Hallelujahs. It does not matter what you do in between the 2 sets of Hallelujahs as it will be edited out.
- Pentatonix refrains from singing the last two Hallelujahs in the 2nd set of Hallelujahs. Please disregard this and sign-sign ALL of the Hallelujahs.
- When the song is finished, continue to stay on camera until the host says, “Hey everybody!” During this time, imagine you are on stage and everyone is clapping for you. Do what comes natural.
- Stop recording and submit your video using the button towards the top of this page.
